Assisted Living Residents with Dementia May Receive Too Many Antipsychotics Drugs

Government investigators are calling for greater scrutiny of antipsychotics use among dementia patients in assisted living facilities. Government Accountability Office (GAO) investigators found seniors with dementia are receiving risky mind-altering medications that may be not be necessary and can be very dangerous.
